2015 Doris Duke Preservation Award
July 6, 2015, Newport RI - The ninth annual Doris Duke Historic Preservation Awards recognized recent projects for their contributions to preserving Rhode Island's historic architectural heritage.
Victorian Gothic Barn (ca. 1853), 67 Second Street. Owned by Laura and David Pedrick; recognized for the rescue, relocation, and restoration, preserving close to 85% of original material, of this distinct utilitarian building form that is likely among the last of its kind in Newport.
Dyer Design is proud to have been responsible for the landscape design, installation and construction of the fence and hardscapes.
“Laura and I appreciate the excellent work
that you and your crew provided in the
restoration project... the landscape design
and installation, and construction of the
fence and hardscapes, are a major part
of the overall beauty and balance of the
improvements to our property.”
